Carla They , nata a Parma in una famiglia di musicisti, ha frequentato il Conservatorio A. Boito di Parma e successivamente il Conservatorio G. Nicolini di Piacenza dove si è diplomata brillantemente in arpa nel 1990. Dopo una parentesi come indossatrice per l’alta moda a Roma, ha avviato la propria carriera di solista che l’ha portata ad esibirsi presso importanti istituzioni internazionali : Consolato Italiano di Parigi, Ambascita Britannica a Roma, Teatro Regio di Parma, Teatro Valli di Reggio Emilia, Teatro Ariosto di Reggio Emilia, Palazzo dei Congressi di Campione d’Italia, Palazzo Vendramin di Venezia, Stadt-casino e Volkshaus di Basilea, Teatro Magnani di Fidenza, Palazzo dei Congressi di Salsomaggiore Terme, Galleria Ricci-Oddi di Piacenza, Palazzo Magnani di Reggio Emilia, Grand Hotel Hermitage di Montecarlo, Teatro Bibiena di Mantova, Teatro all'Antica di Sabbioneta, Teatro Verdi di Busseto, palazzo Brancaccio a Roma, villa Aurelia di Roma, Yacht Club di Como, Grand Hotel des Iles Borromèes di Stresa, hotel Hilton di Amsterdam, sala Mahler di Dobbiaco, Castello degli Schiavi di Fiumefreddo (Taormina) Chiostro comunale di Forio d'Ischia, Grand hotel Villa d'Este di Cernobbio (CO) e altri prestigiosi luoghi.
![]() Per il "Theatro del Vicolo" di Parma ha ideato e realizzato la rassegna "Arpa...e dintorni" andata in scena con successo di pubblico e critica mentre in ambito operistico ha contribuito come musicista e vice-direttore artistico alla messa in scena di “Tosca”-“ La Traviata”- “La Bohème”- “Elisir d’amore”-“Rigoletto” per le edizione 2009-2010 della rassegna “R’estate in città” a Reggio Emilia. Nelle stagioni 2011 e 2012 collabora con la pinacoteca Stuard di Parma per la rassegna "La pinacoteca racconta" ove, in duo voce recitante-arpa, si esibisce in numerosi recital dedicati ai grandi scrittori dall' 800 fino ai nostri giorni. La sua attività spazia anche nell’ambito della musica leggera e jazz, collabora a spettacoli e produzioni discografiche con importanti musicisti, in particolare si ricordano il grande concerto "Orkestrando" all'auditorium Paganini di Parma e "Occhi verdi color di foglia" tributo a Fabrizio De Andrè (sempre al Paganini) e il tributo a Lucio Battisti al Parco Eridania di Parma.

He took part in the RAI broadcasts "Lo zecchino d'oro" (in European direct) and Sereno Variabile, performing as a soloist. In May 2006 he received the "Moruzzi" award, in 2011 the "Lupo Meli Lupi di Soragna" award, also in 2012 he was awarded the prestigious "Angelo del Correggio" for concerts held in the context of significant charitable initiatives.
